Principal Jade Dalena leafed through the papers on her desk, eying the odd pair before her. Apparently these two had caused trouble with the law, more than once, and were being sent here as punishment. She read their information as she glanced at the police officer guarding the door. She didn't like the looks of things, especially since this was a sanctuary, not some juvenile detention center. She sighed, leaning forward to speak with their guidance officer. "You know what rules this school has, and I'm not quite sure this school is ready to take on criminals." She looked down at the papers once again. "It says here they have been charged for breaking and entering, harassment, attempted murder, arson, vandalism, and exiling them to an island didn't help matters at all, did it? You know Jim, I like to keep this building open for as many students as possible. I don't think this school will survive a week with them here." The counselor looked dismayed. I've been all over this state looking for a school that will accept these two. All they need is a little guidance and they'll be perfect angels." Jade sighed. "A little guidance? And what exactly are you here for? I'm not letting them in Jim." By now, after all the shit Liath and Joey put him through, he was ready to get on his hands and knees and beg. Exasperated, his breathing got heavy as he held back tears. "You know me Jade. You know I wouldn't ask you to do something like this if it wasn't needed. You remember last year's case don't you? Didn't that kid become a prefect? Please Jade, you gotta do this for me" Looking down on Jim with pity, Jade growled. "Fine Jim, what all will they have to do?" "Oh, just two months of community service, each will have to teach a class, and they have to stay here until they become a model citizen is all. They'll be out before you know it." Jade grumbled to herself. "They better be. They're in good hands now. Go get some rest, you look like you need it." She watched Jim and the officers leave, waiting until the footsteps faded completely. Once they were gone, she turned to Joey and Liath.
"Now then, let's just get one thing straight. If you're going stay here, there are strict rules you need to follow. Firstly: No fighting. This includes verbal and physical fights. I like to run a clean school. Secondly: No cussing. Thirdly: Stay away from the end of the main hall. You don't want to know what happened there. There are much more minor rules in your handbooks, including a page and a half on our strict uniform code. If there are any problems, report to me and I'll try to fix it. Remember that violence isn't the answer." She paused, waiting for her future students to answer.
Throughout all of this, Liath was spinning her chair, bored as hell. All she heard from the principal and the officer was blah blah blah. She did hear, however, how much of a baby the counselor really was, and that she'd have to teach. Just great. So much for this being a vacation. When the principal was speaking to them only, she payed a bit more attention. And instead of hearing what rules to follow, she heard how to break them. That's exactly what she intended to do. When Jade paused, she finally got her word in. "Yeah yeah, we get it. This is some fancy shmancy school that will be hell for us. Just relax and smoke some weed uptight bitch"
