Joey Baudalaire, son of Thomas Baudalaire, was a young boy who found interest in everything. He was always happy to help, always discovering new things. He was a peaceful happy little boy, until his father ruined it. Thomas worked for a James Conner, at a lab that seemed like a normal water plantation, on the outside. On the inside the happenings that went on were enough to give even the boldest of warriors nightmares for years. To Joey, who was forced to watch the experiments, this all seemed innocent. That was, until he became one of them. See, his father would always take him to work, with his mother long gone. Thomas was a good man, even if he did inhuman things. But Joey would see the torture, the pain, yet was too innocent to notice. Instead, he was just happy to be with his dad. When the experiments kept dieing, the scientists decided to try Joey. If Joey died, they would move on. If he survived, then the lab would be on its way to finding the world's perfect weapon. So they tortured him, gave him powers, and stuck him in another part of the lab, away from other experiments. When he was a success, the lab rejoiced. Then he was joined with other experiments. There was one, Elizabeth, that he fell in like with. She was beautiful, smart, and a natural leader. ((bleh D:> so gross)) And it was her that came up with the escape plan. Since he knew the lab most, and knew what times the doors were open, he was appointed leader. So the time came, and they snuck out. It was easier then expected, most of the hunters were off with Dr. Conner on a mission((the business with liath)). They went through an underground tunnel, and camped in the woods, not far from the lab, yet close enough to town. Almost all of the experiments were there. It was then that Joey realized he couldn't do this. He was only seven, he couldn't lead an army of mutants to freedom. So he left while the others would sleeping, looking back only once. He went to town, and a few hours later, people were screaming about a fire. It was a Doctor's office, and the fire had spread to the woods. Worried about Elizabeth, he ran back to the camp. It was too late. All the mutants lay there, scorched and dead, and he couldn't have felt worse. And then he was alone again. He couldn't go back to his father, with him being a scientist, so he wandered the state, doing nothing in particular. Now he's 19, and being sucked back into the lab business yet again. All because of some girl, he has to relive his past.
Personality:
When he isn't drinking or anything, he is somewhat of a narcisist. Uncaring of anybody else but himself. He's very sarcastic, and makes little comments that sometimes dont need to be said. He's hard headed and stubborn. And yet he's almost always calm in the most weird, awkward, and horrible situations. He doesn't really like talking about his past, infact he hates talking about it.
And now, when he is drunk. When Joey is drunk he is one of the funniest stupidest thing on earth. He's somewhat outgoing and up for any challenge or dare, and does the randomest things.
